Best Scorpio Ammo Review: Everything You Need to Know Now!

Alright, folks, gather ’round. Today, I’m gonna share my little adventure with Scorpio ammo. I’d heard some good things and, well, I just had to try it out for myself. So, I grabbed a box of their 9mm, the 124gr FMJ to be precise. I remember seeing a post online where someone asked, “Has anyone used STV Scorpio 9mm?” and mentioned they were “waiting on a shipment of 124gr FMJ and wondering what to expect.” That got me curious, too.

First thing I did was to search on the Internet for some reviews. I found maybe five or so, and all were pretty positive. It seems like Scorpio is made in the Czech Republic, just like another brand, SB. I remember someone saying, “It is made in the Czech Republic – as also SB is made in the Czech Republic.” That made me feel a bit more confident since I’ve had good experiences with ammo from there.

Getting My Hands on It

Getting a hold of this ammo was a bit of a treasure hunt. I heard some folks say you can set up alerts to know when it’s in stock. I thought, “That’s neat!” and I tried that. Then, I went ahead and signed up for email notifications on a couple of websites. It was kinda like waiting for a good sale on, you know, your favorite groceries.

Time for Testing

When I finally got my hands on the ammo, I headed straight to the range. Loaded up my 9mm, and started firing. The first thing I noticed was how clean the shots were. I was easily hitting targets, and the recoil felt just right. I did some rapid firing and some slow, aimed shots. All were great.

There was this one review I read, where a guy said, “Their 9mm and 5.56 ran immaculately. I was easily hitting targets at 500 yards with their 55gr, and both it and the 9mm were shockingly clean. I have nothing but praise for them and will continue to support them!” After my range day, I totally get what he meant. It ran so smoothly, and my gun wasn’t all gunked up afterward. It did work very well!

Accuracy and Reliability

  • Accuracy: I’m no expert marksman, but I was hitting where I aimed. Even at a bit of a distance, those rounds were going right where I wanted them. I guess they are not wrong when they mention, “Scorpio ammo is highly regarded for its quality and performance. It excels in terms of accuracy, reliability, and terminal ballistics.”
  • Reliability: Not a single misfire or jam. Every round fed perfectly and fired without a hitch. Even after several hundred rounds, my gun was still performing like a champ. So, in response to the question “Is Scorpio 9mm ammo any good?” I’d say, “Yes, it’s pretty darn good!”

Final Thoughts

So, there you have it. My little experiment with Scorpio ammo turned out pretty great. It’s reliable, accurate, and clean. I saw that a South African gun and ammunition magazine, ManMAGNUM, even did a test on Scorpio ammo. The reviewer, Cuan Robinson, was pleased with the 9mm’s performance. That’s a good sign, right? And I noticed, “The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) completed an extensive evaluation process and chose Hornady Critical Duty 9mm+P 135 gr FTX pistol ammunition as its contracted service ammunition.” While that’s not Scorpio, it does tell me that law enforcement agencies are particular about their ammo, so quality and reliability are key factors.

I’d say, if you can get your hands on some Scorpio ammo, give it a shot. I’m definitely gonna be using it again. That’s all for now, folks. Stay safe and happy shooting!
